June 3, 2010 Golden Eagle Mosaic Dedicated at Desert Hot Springs High School
Students from Desert Hot Springs High School who participated in the creation the golden eagle mosaic, joined Pinnacle Fund representatives and Mayor Yvonne Parks to dedicate the sculpture on their campus. The Pinnacle Fund awarded a grant of $2500.00 for this collaborative project.
May 25, 2010 Wine and Art Event Yields $2600.00 to PSUSD Fine Arts for Transportation
Louisa Castrodale, received a check for $2600.00 from Dennis Curran, The Pinnacle Fund President, the result of a Wine and Art fundraising event held at the Palm Springs Art Museum on May 20th. The purpose of the inaugural wine and art fundraising effort was to provide funding for student bus transportation to various fine arts programs under Ms. Castrodale’s leadership.
2009/2010 The Pinnacle Fund Distributes Almost $24,000 to Technology, Arts Projects
PALM SPRINGS – The Pinnacle Fund, The Foundation for Palm Springs Unified School District, presented almost $24,000 in checks to teachers whose grant proposals had been accepted at the Tuesday, March 9th meeting of the District school board. Twenty-four applications in three separate categories were approved in the areas of the arts and technology, the designated focus of The Pinnacle Fund.
2008/2009 The Pinnacle Fund Distributes More than $26,000 To Technology and Fine Arts Projects
PALM SPRINGS – Board members of The Pinnacle Fund of the Foundation for the Palm Springs Unified School District distributed more than $26,000 in grants to 21 arts and technology projects at the Board of Education meeting on March 10, 2009. Lead teachers for the projects, which range in cost from $500 to $5,000 each, received their funds from Foundation board members.
